The Human Aspect of Digital Identity
John Erik Setsaas, VP of Identity and Innovation, Signicat
John Erik will talk about the need for knowing who people are, and the challenges with using passwords for this purpose. There are several mitigations to address these problems, and using eIDs provides a better solution, although most of the eIDs are also based on a password in one form or another.
Signicat eID provides a single API towards more than 30 different eIDs, which simplifies the job for service providers with customers in different countries. The Okta integration makes this integration even simpler to achieve. Finally, John Erik will take a look into the crystal ball on what is coming in terms of digital online identification with the EU digital wallet.

Mattias Bolander
In this role, Mattias is responsible for leading and running business activities in the Nordics and Baltics. Mattias has worked in various roles in the software industry for over 20 years. Most recently, he established and grew Workday in the Nordics and before that he was part of the Nordic leadership team and responsible for Analytics sales in all Nordic countries and the Baltics. Before that, he led Line of Business sales and database sales for SAP Nordics. Mattias started his career in consultancy and development within Open Source.
John Erik Setsaas
With over 25 years of experience in digital identity, John Erik Setsaas is a pioneer in this space. He is a prolific speaker at fintech industry events around the world including Money20/20 Europe, Digital Finance World. Mobile World Congress, Trustech, EiC and FinTech Connect.
He is currently VP of Identity and Innovation at Signicat. He is a board member of the EEMA, Europe’s leading digital identity think tank, and has received the EEMA Lifetime Achievement Award.
Andreas Faltin
Andreas is helping customers on their digital identity journey by designing and implementing complex IAM solutions. These have a high amount of automation to achieve high impact with minimal user friction.
He has over 15 years of experience within the IT business and is also providing customers with modern collaboration and cloud solutions. Further he is an Okta Tech Champion and has worked as a Microsoft Certified Trainer for Microsoft Exchange, Windows Server and PowerShell Automation.
